Short answer: LockedIn AI does not refund monthly or quarterly subscriptions once they start. An annual subscription can get a partial refund only if you cancel within 7 days of purchase. If you were charged twice, got no access, or were charged after you cancelled, contact support within 7 days. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.
We have not bought or used LockedIn AI and have not asked them for a refund. This page summarizes their published refund policy, which we read in full on 2026-10-08. It was marked “Last Updated: 9/17/2026” then. Policies change, so read the current version before you pay.
What LockedIn AI’s refund policy says
| Plan type | Refundable? | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | No | Non-refundable once started; cancelling keeps access until the billing cycle ends, with no refund or prorated credit |
| Quarterly | No | Same as monthly |
| Annual | Partial refund possible | Only if you cancel within 7 days of purchase; after that, no refund, but access stays until the end of the billing cycle |
| Billing errors | Refund may be considered | Contact support within 7 days of the transaction |
The policy does not say how large an annual “partial refund” is. LockedIn AI’s stated reasoning for the no-refund rule is that subscriptions give immediate access to digital services. It also says that to check the product is right for you, you should use the free trial before purchasing.
When a refund may be considered (billing errors)
If you think you were charged incorrectly, the policy says to contact support within 7 days of the transaction. Refunds may be considered for:
- A duplicate purchase: charged more than once for the same subscription.
- Product not delivered: you paid and got no access.
- Charged after cancelling: you cancelled before the renewal date and were still charged. The policy says you must provide the cancellation confirmation email.
“May be considered” is their wording, not a guarantee. For an accidental plan purchase, the policy says to reach out immediately and they will review the request.
How to request a refund
According to the policy, you email [email protected] with your registered email, the charge you want refunded, the reason, and any supporting details. Their support team reviews the request within 7 business days. An approved refund goes back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, and a confirmation email is sent when it is done. We have not tried this process ourselves, so we can’t say how it goes in practice.
Bought through the Apple App Store?
If you bought through the Apple App Store, the policy says Apple processes that purchase and any refund, under Apple’s own terms. You request a refund, cancel, or manage the subscription in your Apple ID account settings, and Apple decides refunds at its discretion. The no-refund rules above apply to purchases made directly with LockedIn AI, not to App Store purchases. We have not confirmed anything about their iOS app beyond this paragraph of the policy.
What this means in practice
On 2026-09-28 the General tab on their pricing page showed $54.99/mo for the monthly plan. If you pay $54.99 and decide the next day it is not for you, the policy says that payment is not refundable. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
The General 3-month plan was shown at $39.99/mo billed every three months, about $120 per quarter (our arithmetic from the displayed price). The whole quarter is not refundable once it starts. Professional was shown at $119.99/mo or $79.99/mo on the 3-month plan, about $240 per quarter. We saw no annual plan in the pricing screenshots, so on the plans we saw advertised there is no refund window in the usual sense. The free trial is the policy’s own suggested way to test the product first. We have not confirmed what it includes or how long it lasts, so check their pricing page.
Two more rules worth knowing. Outages: if a third-party provider outage affects the service, the policy says there is no refund for the affected period, though they may offer credits or extra access at their discretion. Upgrades: moving to a higher plan charges only the prorated amount for the rest of your billing cycle.
How cancellation fits in
Cancelling and getting a refund are two different things. The policy says you can modify or cancel at any time in your LockedIn AI account settings, and that you must do it before your renewal date to avoid being charged. On monthly and quarterly plans, cancelling does not refund the period you paid for. We have not walked through the cancellation screens, so we can’t give you a click-by-click guide. Save the cancellation confirmation email: the policy asks for it if you are later charged anyway.
Practical steps before you pay
- Try the free trial first, as the policy itself suggests, if it is available to you.
- Read the current refund policy on the day you subscribe.
- Write down the date and the amount of the charge. Charges are billed by Cyber Gravity LLC and show on your statement as LOCKEDIN AI.
- Cancel before the renewal date and keep the confirmation email.
- Check your card statement after the next expected billing date.
- If you are charged twice, charged after cancelling, or paid and got no access, email support within 7 days.
- If that does not resolve it, you can consider contacting your bank or card issuer. That does not guarantee any outcome.
Steps 2, 5 and 7 are general precautions for any subscription, not special rules from LockedIn AI.
How SyntaxCue’s refund differs
SyntaxCue is a different kind of product, so this is not a one-to-one price comparison. It costs $79 once for a 6-month license with no auto-renewal, it is bring-your-own-key (you pay OpenAI or Anthropic directly), and its refund is 14 days with no conditions (full terms on the refund policy page). LockedIn AI is a managed subscription with the AI included, plus a mock-interview simulator and other features SyntaxCue does not have. For the full picture, see our LockedIn AI review and the SyntaxCue vs LockedIn AI comparison. For other refund terms, see Cluely’s refund policy and our Final Round AI review.
Does LockedIn AI offer refunds?
Only in limited cases. Monthly and quarterly subscriptions are not refunded once they start. An annual subscription can get a partial refund if cancelled within 7 days of purchase. Refunds may be considered for a duplicate charge, no access after payment, or a charge after cancelling, if you contact support within 7 days. We read the policy in full on 2026-10-08 (marked last updated 9/17/2026).
Can I get a refund on a monthly plan?
No. According to the policy, monthly payments are not refundable once the subscription starts. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps your access until the end of the billing cycle, with no refund or prorated credit.
Is there a refund on annual plans?
A partial refund is possible if you cancel an annual subscription within 7 days of purchase. The policy does not say how large it is. After 7 days there is no refund, but access stays until the end of the billing cycle. We saw no annual plan on their pricing page on 2026-09-28.
How do I request a refund from LockedIn AI?
The policy says to email [email protected] with your registered email, the charge you want refunded, the reason, and supporting details. They review within 7 business days, and approved refunds go to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. We have not tried the process ourselves.
How do I cancel LockedIn AI?
The policy says you can modify or cancel any time in your LockedIn AI account settings, and you must cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Keep the cancellation confirmation email. We have not walked through the cancellation screens ourselves.
Does LockedIn AI have a free trial?
Their refund policy encourages using the free trial before purchasing, but gives no details. We have not confirmed what the trial includes or how long it lasts. Check their pricing page for the current offer.
What if I bought through the Apple App Store?
The policy says Apple processes App Store purchases and refunds under Apple's terms. You request a refund or cancel in your Apple ID account settings, and Apple decides at its discretion. LockedIn AI's own no-refund rules apply to purchases made directly with them.
How long do I have to report a billing error?
Within 7 days of the transaction. The policy lists a duplicate charge, no access after payment, and a charge after cancelling (with the cancellation confirmation email) as cases where a refund may be considered.
Is this based on hands-on testing?
No. We have not bought or used LockedIn AI and have not requested a refund from them. This page summarizes their published refund policy, which we read in full on 2026-10-08, and the prices on their pricing page on 2026-09-28.
